Tatsumi Ryu was developed and created during the Sengoku ( batlefield ) era by
Tatsumi Sankyo. Kenjutsu is considered as the major focus of the training but the style is also well known for Yawara(Jiujutsu), Sojutsu(spear),Naginata(glaive),Shuriken, Kodachi(short sword), Bo, Hanbo and Tanto. The style incorporates armored grappling techniques, which can now be only found in a few Koryu schools. Tatumi ryu bokken features strongest sori among our stylized bokkens resembling a old Tachi design suitable for thrashing moves while riding a horse. Japanese red oak, urethane coated.
